Gastric cancer is one of the most common neoplastic diseases in developed Western countries, and is characterized by a poor prognosis when diagnosed at a late stage [1]. Atrophic gastritis and gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM) are well-known risk factors for the development of gastric cancer. For this reason, endoscopy with multiple biopsies is recommended in patients with atrophic gastritis or GIM, to exclude preneoplastic or neoplastic tissue [1]. Removal of colorectal adenomas prevents occurrence of cancers [1]. It is recognized that colonoscopy can miss colorectal adenomas and early cancers [2]. There is a need to further improve performance of colonoscopy. The use of chromoendoscopy has been shown to improve detection of flat adenomas [3]. Narrow band imaging was introduced in year 2006. It is similar to chromoendoscopy in that it provides more mucosal details. This enables endoscopists to accurately describe the pit pattern of adenomas. NBI has been used as a substitute to chromoendoscopy.. In pooled analysis, NBI is comparable to chromoendoscopy in their sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of malignant colorectal adenomas [4]. Both adults had Burmese parents and should be I/i. The kitten has to be I/- to have silver and we believe the light spot to be silver not white. The only conclusion can be that she is a narrow band . We also suggest that the likely reason it shows be due to the sepia gene. This white chest patch is an issue on some Burmese. We postulate most and not all Burmese are golden, narrow band (. i/i. wb/wb). Those that show white patches are likely silver narrow band (I/- wb/wb). One breeding of a "locketed" Burmese to a golden tabby would prove the point. We therefore believe Robinson's p151 on Lockets needs clarification. We suggest this may be undesirable but should not be a disqualification factor in either the Burmese or Burmilla if we are correct. A new classification (Japan Esophageal Society [JES] classification) for the diagnosis of Barrett's esophagus (BE) -related lesions by magnifying endoscopy was developed. In this classification, diagnosis of dysplastic lesion is made by the irregularity of surface and vascular patterns. A multicenter study was conducted to confirm the validity of the classification. We collected 156 images (67 non-dysplastic and 89 dysplastic BE) taken by NBI with high-definition magnifying endoscopy. Ten endoscopists (five experts and five non-experts) were recruited from 10 hospital as reviewers and were given a lecture on the JES classification. Then, they reviewed the images twice, immediately after the lecture (1st test) and 6 weeks after (2nd test).
