*  Indigo Seed Germination - Knowledgebase Question - Garden.org
Seeds of Indigo need special treatment before they'll germinate. Try pouring boiling water over the seeds and allowing them to soak overnight. Then plant them in flats or pots filled with moistened seed-starting mix. Sow the seeds on top and press them in with your hand so they're barely covered with soil. Put plastic wrap over the top to help hold in moisture, and place them in a cool location (about 50F degrees) until they germinate. The seeds can take from 30-90 days to sprout. When most have sprouted, remove the plastic wrap and place the seedlings under a source of bright light. If you're using artificial light, keep it on 14 hours a day and turn it off at night. After your seedlings have developed two sets of true leaves you can thin them and transplant them into individual pots. Good luck with your project ...
