Munc-18-proteiner
Qa-SNARE Proteins
Qa-SNARE proteins, also known as R-SNAREs, are a subtype of SNARE (Soluble N-ethylmaleimide sensitive factor Attachment protein REceptor) proteins that play a crucial role in intracellular membrane fusion events. They are called Qa-SNAREs because they contain a glutamine (Q) residue in their SNARE motif and are anchored to the target membrane. During membrane fusion, Qa-SNARE proteins interact with other SNARE proteins containing complementary motifs, forming a stable four-helix bundle known as a SNARE complex. This interaction brings the two membranes into close proximity, allowing for their fusion and the transport of molecules between them. Qa-SNAREs are involved in various cellular processes, including vesicle trafficking, neurotransmitter release, and autophagy.

SNARE-proteiner

Q-SNARE Proteins
Q-SNARE proteins are a group of proteins located on the target membrane in vesicle fusion events. They interact with R-SNARE proteins on the vesicle membrane to form a complex known as the SNARE complex, which brings the two membranes together and facilitates the fusion process. This plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and secretion.
Synaptosomal-Associated Protein 25

Qc-SNARE Proteins
Qc-SNARE proteins are a subgroup of SNARE (Soluble NSF Attachment Protein REceptor) proteins, which play a crucial role in intracellular membrane fusion events, such as those that occur during neurotransmitter release and vesicle trafficking. Specifically, Qc-SNARE proteins are found on the cytosolic face of synaptic vesicles and include the proteins synaptobrevin-2 (also known as VAMP-2) and syntaxin-1A. These SNARE proteins interact with their target SNAREs on the presynaptic membrane to form a complex that brings the vesicle into close proximity with the plasma membrane, allowing for the fusion of the two membranes and the release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft.
Proteinbindning
Qb-SNARE Proteins
Qb-SNARE proteins are a subclass of SNARE (Soluble N-ethylmaleimide sensitive factor Attachment protein REceptor) proteins that play a crucial role in intracellular membrane fusion events, particularly in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. They are called Qb-SNAREs because they contain a conserved SNARE motif that is characterized by the presence of glutamine (Q) and bulky hydrophobic residues. Specifically, Qb-SNAREs contribute to the formation of the core SNARE complex along with Qc- and R-SNAREs, which brings two opposing membranes into close proximity, allowing for fusion and subsequent release of neurotransmitters or other vesicle contents. A well-known example of a Qb-SNARE protein is syntaxin 1B, which is abundantly expressed in neurons and interacts with synaptotagmin on the synaptic vesicle membrane to regulate calcium-dependent neurotransmitter release.
