Botulism
Botulism kan delas in i flera typer (t ex matförgiftning, barnbotulism, sårbotulism m fl).
Clostridium botulinum
Botulinumgifter
Botulinum Toxins, Type A
Food, Preserved
"Food, Preserved" refers to food that has been treated or processed in order to inhibit spoilage and extend its shelf life. This can be achieved through various methods such as drying, canning, freezing, fermentation, pickling, pasteurization, and the addition of preservatives. The goal is to prevent the growth of bacteria, yeasts, molds, and other microorganisms that cause food to decay and become unsafe for consumption. Preserved foods offer convenience, reduced food waste, and the ability to enjoy seasonal produce throughout the year.
Livsmedelskonservering

Toxemi
I modern medicine, the term 'toxemia' is generally considered outdated and imprecise. Historically, it was used to describe a wide variety of conditions characterized by the presence of toxic substances in the blood or tissues. However, its usage has been largely abandoned due to lack of clear definition and diagnostic criteria. In modern medical contexts, specific terms are preferred over 'toxemia' to describe particular conditions associated with toxins or inflammation.
Foodborne Diseases
"Foodborne diseases" refer to illnesses caused by the consumption of contaminated food or water, which contains harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites, or toxic substances. These agents can cause a range of symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, fever, and dehydration. Examples of common foodborne diseases include Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, norovirus, and botulism. It is important to handle and prepare food properly, store it at safe temperatures, and cook it thoroughly to prevent foodborne illnesses.
Clostridium botulinum typ D
