Testimonials - Timonium Foot and Ankle Center
I was first diagnosed with Hallux Rigidus (stiff big toe) on 9/24/2012 by an orthopedic doctor after experiencing soreness of my right big toe. After trying conservative treatments to manage it, I was told the only way to truly stop the degeneration of the toe joint was a cheilectomy surgery.I was not interested in surgery and continued to manage the discomfort by using orthopedic shoes, ice and NSAIDS. Having a high pain tolerance, I ignored the pain. I began focusing on the other join ...

When I was 25 years old, I fractured my left heel. Ever since that injury, I have had chronic pain and continued problems to my left foot and the ankle. I sprained my ankle several times through the years resulting in multiple doctors visits. I had seen 5 different foot and ankle specialists including both orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons and podiatrists and unfortunately on one was not able to help reduce the chronic pain that I was dealing with. I was treated with multiple pairs of custom foot orthotics, physical therapy, steroid injections, anti-inflammatory medications, and I spent several months in a walking boot. Despite all of these treatments, my foot and ankle pain was getting worse. My job requires me to be on my feet for 8-10 hours a day and my quality of life was suffering. My pain was constantly at a 10/10 and my leg became very weak. My pain became so bad daily walking became a challenge and I was forced to use a cane.. One of my coworkers was under the care of Dr. Stewart at ...

I want to thank Dr Stewart and the wonderful staff at the Timonium Foot and Ankle Center.. I first visited Dr. Stewart in late March 2012 when I was experiencing tremendous heel pain in both feet. I have been a hair stylist for over thirty years and I was afraid that I was going to have to change careers and find a job that allowed me to stay off my feet all day. I had foot and heel pain constantly at work as well on my days off.. Dr. Stewart patiently listened to me as I explained how I was suffering and soon had his staff running tests and taking xrays in his office. He was quickly able to get back to me with a diagnosis, an explanation, and a treatment plan to help me.. Dr Stewart explained that I had the following conditions which can be very painful and uncomfortable: plantar fasciitis, nerve impingement in the tarsal tunnel, and posterior tibial tendinitis.. Each visit brought me increasing relief from pain and improvement in my conditions. I am happy to say that I am currently working and ...

Dr. Stewart recommended that I try laser treatments for my painful bout of Achilles tendinitis, and Im more than happy to report that I had an outstanding outcome. Although the laser seems somewhat magical, it felt great to have Laura soothed my pain by applying her "magic wand" to my injured Achilles tendon and to have the pain miraculously disappear. If Dr. Stewart suggests laser treatments to help with your foot or ankle injury, I strongly recommend following his advice and recommendation.. Dr. Stewart and his staff are caring, kind, and knowledgeable individuals. On a scale of 1-10, I definitely confer a grade of 10 + to the Timonium Foot and Ankle Center.. * Results may vary from person to person. ...
Debbie Custer (Rebecca Custer's Mom) - Timonium Foot and Ankle Center
My daughter was suffering from a painful ingrown right big toenail for 2-3 weeks. We treated it at home by soaking the toe in salt water, but it did not get better. She is a very active 13 year-old as she plays lots of sports. The pain was limiting her ability to play and she was even having pain with shoes during the day.. Dr. Stewart had successfully treated her for a similar condition on the left foot several years ago. We gave Dr. Stewart a call for the condition and he was able to get us right in for an appointment. Although my daughter was understandably scared to have the ingrown nail removed, she was ultimately very happy when the procedure was over as she had immediate pain relief. In fact, she was back to playing sports pain free within one week.. The entire process was very easy as Dr. Stewart provided us with detailed instructions as well as a wound kit to treat the condition at home. It was so nice to see my daughter smiling from ear to ear at her follow-up, as she was pain free. ...

I wanted to take the time to share my experience with Dr. Stewart and Timonium Foot and Ankle Center. A few years back, I injured my left ankle when I rolled it while playing basketball. After trying to treat my problem on my own for a little over a year, I felt like something else was wrong, so I decided to visit an orthopaedic foot and ankle specialist. After a few visits, x-rays, an MRI and nerve conduction testing, the doctor thought that my injury was the result of a bone spur on the back of my ankle. I had surgery to have this bone spur removed, yet after going through physical therapy, I realized the original pain was still there.. Since the outcome of my surgery wasnt what I was hoping for, I decided to get a second opinion. I started doing my research online and read many great patient reviews about Dr. Stewart, a podiatrist and foot and ankle specialist. I made an appointment to see him and this turned out to be the best decision I could have made.. From the start, Dr. Stewart made me ...
