The effects of silver nanoparticle on the physical properties of syndiotactic polypropylene (sPP) were investigated in terms of rheological responses and crystallization behavior under shear. Silver nanoparticle played as the nucleating agent of sPP by increasing crystallization temperature (Tc) and heat of crystallization (ΔHc). The introduction of silver nanoparticles more than 1 wt% brought about the rise of dynamic viscosity when compared to pure sPP. sPP with 5 wt% silver nanoparticle exhibited the higher tan δ and lower relaxation time than the others in the low frequency range. However, the effects of silver nanoparticle on the rheological properties became less noticeable when the loading level was higher than 5 wt%.

Terfezia claveryi is a species that belongs to the genera of Terfeziaceae or desert truffles, which is a family of truffles. In the present study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized from aqueous extract of T. claveryi which are in the range of 25 to 60 nm. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of the silver nanoparticles on human breast cancer cell line has been tested. Peak absorption was recorded at 440 nm in UV-Vis spectra of silver nanoparticles. The XRD data reports that the silver nanoparticles are crystalline in nature and have face centered cubic geometry. FESEM showed the size range of synthesized silver nanoparticles as 25 to 50 nm. The present investigation was aimed to study the biosynthesis, stability and characterization of silver nanoparticles using Achyranthes aspera root extract. Synthesis of silver nanoparticles has been done by maintaining different AgNO3 concentrations (0.50, 1.00, 1.50 and 1.84 mM), temperature (25, 45, 75, 105 and 125 ºC) and pH conditions (4, 5, 7, 9 and 10). By analysing the data obtained during stability study, it was found that, combination of AgNO3 of 1.15 mM concentration, temperature at 45 ºC and pH of 9 was the best condition to synthesize the stable Ag NPs for one month. Here, we have synthesized the silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by using the soil fungus Aspergillus niger 2587. The results recorded from UV-vis spectrophotometer and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) support the biosynthesis and characterization of AgNPs. The synthesized silver nanoparticles have also been tested against the larvae and pupae of Anopheles stephensi, Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti. The efficacy test was performed at different concentrations for a period of different hours by the probit analysis. In soybean seed coats the accumulation of the hydroxyproline-rich glycoprotein extensin is regulated in a developmental and tissue-specific manner. The time course of appearance of extensin during seed development was studied by Western blot analysis and by immunogold-silver localization. Using these techniques extensin was first detected at 16-18 d after anthesis, increasing during development to high levels at 24 d after anthesis. Even so, silver is the dominant antibacterial dressing used in wound healing.. Objectives: To evaluate the healing effects of honey dressings compared to silver dressings for acute or chronic wounds.. Design: A systematic review with meta-analysis.. Method: The search, conducted in seven databases, resulted in six randomised controlled trial studies from South Asia focusing on antibacterial properties and healing times of honey and silver.. Result: Honey was more efficacious for wound healing than silver, as measured in the number of days needed for wounds to heal (pooled risk difference −20, 95% CI −0.29 to −0.11, p , .001). Honey turned out to have more antibacterial qualities than silver..
