A reflex, or reflex action, is an involuntary and nearly instantaneous movement in response to a stimulus. The object of this research is to compare the reflex contractions of the cruralis muscle in the decerebrate and spinal frog in response to a single break induction shock, applied to the ipsilateral sciatic nerve. Sherrington (5) studied the limb reflexes in the decerebrate and spinal cat. He showed that in the decerebrate preparation the reflex contraction of an extensor muscle was accompanied by an autogenous tonic reflex which prolonged the contraction. The current study provides insight into the neural interaction between hip proprioceptive feedback and electrical stimulation of distal nerves of the leg. Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) of paralyzed muscles in people with spinal cord injury has been used to restore lost muscle strength. However the same type of stimulation can result in reflex activation of muscles that could disrupt control of movement. Hip afferents and plantar cutaneous mechanoreceptors can also trigger reflex activity that modulates locomotion. What do I expect out of Reflex in another year? Im not sure to be honest. With Overwatch looming and many other great games to play Im beginning to lose hope in Reflex. Things are just taking too long and the gameplay is not advancing. Even players who Ive played dozens of hours with in Reflex seem to share my sentiment.
