Rose Markward was born in Mansfield, Ohio in 1857. At the age of 26, she married a salesman named Charles B. Knox and moved to his hometown of Johnstown, New York, which had many tanneries and therefore also had many slaughterhouses. Slaughterhouse waste - hooves, tendons, intestines and bones - was very cheap, and was all many poor people there could afford to eat. They would boil the slaughterhouse waste in water to form a thick gel and store the liquid in large bowls. They tried to store enough to last through the long cold winters, but often ran out.

The ethylene-vinyl alcohol, EvOH, copolymer barrier layer, extruded as a sandwich between two adhesive layers of a maleated linear low density polyethylene, LLDPE, is surrounded by three high density polyethylene, HDPE, layers, one of which is composed of the regrind derived from the waste generated by manufacture. Particular attention has been focused on the mechanism of adhesion between the barrier layer and the adhesive layers. A tube body includes an interior bore to carry a material flow into bone. The tube body includes a dispensing end having an opening communicating with the bore to dispense the material flow. One embodiment provides a cutting element, which extends in the opening to permit passage of the material flow and to sever the material flow in response to rotation of the tube body. Another embodiment deflects the dispensing end from the main axis of the tube body, to facilitate targeted introduction of flowable material, even when the access path does not align the tube body along the natural geometric axes of the treatment site. Another embodiment provides a connector having a rotating fitting, which releasably connects the tube body to a cement injecting tool. Cork trees are not damaged by the harvest, and they have this awesome tendency, as most plants do, to grow. But no, because one bottle in a thousand gets some nasty-nast in it due to a bad cork (I dont know the real statistic) we have decided to go all crazy for alternative bottle closures. "The screw tops are recyclable stark!" No, no theyre not. The metal bit is, but to actually recycle that metal bit, you have to strip away that rubber piece that provides a true seal. It is not cost effective to recycle bottle caps. And the plastic tubes? Sure, they provide a better seal, have no risk of ruining the bottle, and they maintain the full, poncy wine-pouring ritual. In 2007, the Decatur City Commission approved an amendment to the solid waste ordinance to provide better accessibility for recycling for multi-family residents of the city.
