So, I know no ones posted in this thread for a while, but I actually have been having pretty good luck with just pure vegetable glycerine. I got a 16 fl.oz. bottle of vegetable glycerine, and Ive been putting it on my plaque psoriasis every time it gets itchy. Seriously, my patch grows skin like no other so it gets itchy like mad, and the glycerine helps to remove that top dry layer. Once I started gently rubbing it on, and the dried skin on top starting soaking it up and getting mashed/rolled together into a log. I rolled the moistened dead skin into a ball and stared at it for a good 5 minutes. It was gross, but still oddly cool - the consistency was almost like play dough. I thought if I kept that little ball, I could add to it, and then sculpt/mold something out of it, but changed my mind and threw it away. haha ...

I just finished knitting the most beautiful scarf from one of Lynne Vogels patterns. This is the Starry Night Scarf and it is way cool not to mention that it is a wonderful project for using up all of those very precious little balls of handspun yarn that we all have left over from other projects. I sat down with a basket of my handspuns and just drew from the basket as I finished one ball after another. And miracle of miracles -- they just all seem to flow together -- one of the amazing things about handspun yarn. Here are some photos. I hadnt realized how much attention such a little creature demands. She wants to be cuddled or played with all her waking hours. I wont let her have her way all the time, but I do need to keep an eye on her to save the curtains, the plants and the sofa from being destroyed. Whenever I sit down at my computer, she becomes obsessed. My fingers moving on the keyboard and the movements on the screen are just too much for her. While writing this blog, I have used the backspace button more often than ever before. I guess my little friend assumes she is helping me out by copying my movements on the keys.. I am an early riser and my alarm starts buzzing at around 5am. To be honest, I am not leaping out of bed every morning with enthusiasm but I do recognise that if I dont get up, I dont exercise. Through late November, Dana and I took care of 10 consecutive groups of underage foster kittens for the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, 27 little balls of fur all told. The kitties we take in are big enough to eat on their own, generally five to six weeks old, and we keep them until theyre at least eight weeks, two pounds, and in good body condition.
