The Osteoporosis Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (OPSAT-Q) is a new measure of patient satisfaction with bisphosphonate treatment for osteoporosis. The objective of this study was to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the OPSAT-Q. The OPSAT-Q contains 16 items in four subscales: Convenience, Confidence with Daily Activities, Side Effects, and Overall Satisfaction. Responses on patient satisfaction surveys have been identified as a key marker of value in the patient care experience. In this retrospective evaluation of patient satisfaction with overall care in the ED, we found that operationalizing a vertical patient flow model, which we termed and housed in the Flexible Care Area, did not yield an improvement in the percentage of patients who rated their overall care as "Very Good." However, we were able to demonstrate that the primary objective of this new patient care paradigm was achieved: overall LOS was, in fact, shorter for patients seen in the FCA (159.0 ±103.5 min versus 223.0 ±117.0 min). Patients with PAH are confronted with a growing number of therapeutic options, each of which is associated with its own unique delivery system. Because little to no comparative effectiveness data exists, patient preferences can often be the driving factor behind choice of therapy. Thus, treatment satisfaction is likely to be highly relevant in the management of PAH. In this study, we evaluated the psychometric characteristics of a relatively new treatment satisfaction measure, the TSQM, assessed among patients participating in a 12 week open-label study of inhaled PAH therapy. We found that transitioning from inhaled iloprost to inhaled treprostinil was associated with significant improvements in treatment satisfaction as measured by the TSQM. Our general research question was whether placebo mechanisms, such as patient expectations, can be utilized to improve outcome in invasive medical interventions such as CABG. We developed a brief psychological intervention that can be carried out in a cardiac surgery environment, and which focuses on the optimization of patients expectations about course and outcome after cardiac surgery. Objective: Cancer patients consider the oncologist as their main resource insofar as the medical needs generally take precedence over psychological needs. Nevertheless, the psychological intervention is also important. The systematic consultation implemented in our hospital after a diagnosis of cancer is a manner to answer patients psychological needs. In a survey, we assessed the satisfaction and expectations of the patients about this consultation. Methods: One year after a diagnosis of breast cancer, 104 patients answered a retrospective questionnaire assessing: socio- demographic data, cancer medical information, systematic consultation satisfaction, patients expectations for a systematic intervention, and patients characteristics who began a psychological follow-up. Results: 72.1% of the patients were satisfied with having the opportunity to consult a psychologist during a systematic consultation after cancer diagnosis. Their expectations were to have opportunities of emotional expression,
