Strategic Plan / Strategic Plan Development
The current District Strategic Plan will carry through 2020. Last year, the Board approved an external facilitator to assist with the development of a successor plan. This will be a major focus of energy this year as we endeavor to work with students, parents, community members, teachers, support staff, administrators, and Board members to gather input and design a mission and strategies that will provide an educational vision for the District for the next six years and beyond. Some of the steps that will engage the community, beginning in September, include community forums, a survey, focus groups, and community action teams that will work to develop a plan devised by these same stakeholder groups. The entire process will take about a year and provides an excellent opportunity for members of our community to share their thoughts on what we do well and where we can grow, and to lend their insight on the skills our kids need the most when they enter the world of the 2020s and beyond ...
