Our goal was to assess the metastatic potential of CRC in order to develop clinically effective individualised treatment based on that potential against stage I of CRC (pT1N0M0). Using cDNA array, we first identified that of the many possible candidates, matrilysin was a major biomarker involved in nodal metastasis.
