Not only was I worried about the intensity of the ride for Drew, but I was worried that even a critter clip would not keep the processors safely attached to Drew. I discussed my concerns with Drew prior to the ride, and he decided that it would be best to take his processors off during the ride. So, Drew wore his processors during the wait for the coaster, chatting with friends and family. Im a former member of ACE, and finally got to ride Hades this past weekend. Ive been waiting 15 years to ride it, since I first saw it on the cover of Roller Coaster Magazine. Im glad I waited for the re-do. It was even better than I expected. My wait in line was 2 hours, but it was worth it. I would agree with the person who called it a hybrid - that was my thought as soon as I saw it. I wouldnt call the upside down part a barrel roll, however, Id call it a corkscrew. A barrel roll is what is at the top of Kennywoods Steel Phantom/Phantoms Revenge lift hill. (I grew up in Pittsburgh and I consider Kennywood to be my home park.) A barrel roll does not go upside down, only turns 180 degrees in a short distance. Some days I feel great and alive, and others I feel like my heart is popping out of my chest, causing all kinds of anxiety and fear about how long I can go on like this. My legs dont have much stamina, but they do feel like my gait is more normal when I am walking on fresh legs. I just hope that you get to that day sooner than later, because being unresolved sucks. Whether its adopting, using a surrogate, or doing anything will your embryo, or moving to Europe or some such exotic place and deciding to live child-free. Making a decision will free you once and for all. And jumping head in, even with all the doubts and fears and problems, will be better than sitting on the sidelines waiting and wondering and going around and around on the merry-go-round to nowhere. What a day we had. Who would have ever thought we would make it 8 hours at an amusement/water park. The funny thing is...the entire day seemed to fly by!! We picked up Amy, Ryan, Casey, and Evan that morning and arrived around 10AM. We rode most of the amusement park rides first so we could cool off in the water after lunch. Our friend, Melody and her two boys, Collin and Cade, happen to run into us that morning too. I bet we were a sight. Three women with 8 boys trying to run in 5 different directions. We had so much fun though. We had a picnic lunch, lounged in the lazy river, fought the waves, and rode more rides. Jagger rode a roller coaster! The Wild Mouse, which became his favorite ride. Jordan liked the round and round rides. I realized from the start that I can no longer do those rides...I cant even watch them! Jackson said every ride was his favorite.
