Hand gesture recognition has recently grown as a powerful technical means in human-machine interaction field for control the appliances such as in home automation. However, the accuracy recognition of diverse hand gestures is still in the early stage for real-world application. In this paper, we present a new gesture recognition framework which is capable of classifying ten different hand gestures based on the input signals from surface electromyography (sEMG) sensors. The multi-channel signals of a hand motion are simultaneously captured and transmitted to a PC via Bluetooth wireless protocol. The proposed recognition framework composes of three main steps: gesture sequence segmentation, feature extraction by sparse autoencoder, and deep neural network (DNN) based classification. We introduce AllSee, the first gesture-recognition system that can operate on a range of computing devices including those with no batteries. AllSee consumes three to four orders of magnitude lower power than state-of-the-art systems and can enable always-on gesture recognition for smartphones and tablets. Windows 7 has a pretty big limitation when it comes to gestures as it is only capable of doing one at a time. Since Flash listens for these native events, we also get that limitation when doing multi-touch in Flash.. Tim Kukulski, who is a member of the Adobe XD team, has written a great set of classes that listens for raw touch events instead of the built-in gestures. Quantitative user models such as CLC, Isokoskis and KLM have been used to estimate the production time of mouse and pen interactions (pointing, clicking, selecting, drawing, writing). In this paper, we assess if these models can be adapted to estimate the production time of touchless hand gestures (air figures of letters and numbers). New parameters were added to the existing models with empirical values drawn from experiments with users. Two metrics were used to evaluate model quality: strength of the relationship between estimated and observed times, and percentage root mean square error. The obtained results support the hypothesis that CLC, Isokoskis and KLM can be adapted to touchless hand gestures. The paper contributes with model modifications and parameters required to estimate the production times of touchless hand gestures.

In this project we built an interface that allows two remotely located individuals to collaborate, in order to play and complete a treasure hunt game. We decided to use a fun interface where one of the players (i.e., the controller) was using body gestures to guide the second player (i.e., the navigator) in a 3D Virtual Environment.. It was a partial success, but a great learning experience nontheless. These days most touch sensitive devices are designed either to recognize where it has been touched or whether is touched or not. Many objects around us in everyday life can be potentially used as touch interactive surface providing they are made out of conductive material. With the conventional way it would only be possible to detect whether the object has been touched or not. However, by exciting the object with different frequencies it is possible to detect how much skin is touching it. Essentially the system could recognize whether the object is grabbed, pinched, touched by one or more fingers or any other gesture which have different amount of skin touching it. i have been researching pattern recognition for awhile. there are lots of ways to do this. one way you have got almost built is the open CV haar training. Thats basically the supervised positive/negative machine learning model algo. the random markov field is used in lots of machine learning. seeing that you want to do a more 1-1 mapping with a threshold machine learning is not the fastest way to go but, if quartz finds the tolerance of multiple gestures that are then mapped to the 1-1 model it would be much better for various users.. the value historian will prove useful for this. i havent really looked or played with it yet but recording and saving learning data sets or training data sets is important. automating the process would be nice. if you are recording optical flow or open CV a remote is essential you cant have the movement of stopping the value recording in your training set. you also need a noise state because once you get your means with what ever method you choose the simple act ...

The acceptability and feasibility of a home-based gestural training program for nine children with Angelman syndrome (AS), deletion positive, and their parents were examined.
