First, we observed that during the E2‐mediated apoptotic response in MCF7 cells, a physical association between JMJD3 and the AF1 of ERα leads to their co‐recruitment to the enhancer of the anti‐apoptotic gene BCL2, resulting in H3K27me3 demethylation and subsequent gene activation. Genomic databases for kiwifruit, however, are rather limited, despite the nutritional and economic importance of this fruit worldwide. The present sequencing project mined a previously constructed database of kiwifruit genes that were expressed at various stages of fruit development. The data mining identified 7,051 coding genes and 29,327 alternative transcripts, which represent alterations in which genes are transcribed leading to different proteins. Alternative splicing was identified in genes coding for many different proteins that are responsible for a variety of different metabolic processes. RATIONALE: To determine lymphocyte activation biomarkers associated with milk/egg allergy over time. METHODS: Children aged 3-15 months with likely milk/egg allergy and no diagnosed peanut allergy were followed at baseline, 6, 12 and 24 months and categorized as egg/milk allergic or tolerant by predefined criteria.
