Antibacterial activities of 7 plant extracts were evaluated against 5 bacterial strains using well diffusion assay at different concentration (10%, 20% and 30%) and the results were compared with therapeutically used antibiotics. Rapid formation of inhibition zones within 24 hours of incubation was obtained with ethanolic extracts (30%) of Justicia gendarussa against all tested strains. Ethanol extracts (30%) of the Gymnema sylvestre produces a maximum inhibition zone of 24mm against Pseudomonas aeruginosa which are known to be multi-resistant to drugs, while the standard values lies behind 17mm. Cluster analysis was applied to find out the similar groups of solvent extracts in their antibacterial action. Ethanolic plant extracts figured a separate cluster with the high antibacterial activity. Abstract. We will approach in this article the question of human nature in economics. The traditional homo oeconomicus, as presented in mainstream economics, seems to represent the model of a perfect economic individual. We will question whether the fundamental coordinates of homo oeconomicus, rationality, self-interest and selfishness, capture the essence of human beings and if there is an universal human nature. We propose a more flexible portrait of the economic individual, with insights from recent psychological research, and we suggest that it is society which shapes human nature and character. There is no fixed or inherited human nature. An environment of inequalities makes the individual act in a selfish and utilitarian way, while a more fair social organization would make individuals altruistic and more cooperative. Background: The use of Jatropha curcas leaves in folklore medicine has gained popularity in recent times due to its medicinal value but without regards to its adverse health effect.. Mr. Tatchöl was born in Dansy, a small village in Guinea, West Africa. Dansy is part of the Boffa region. (The popular dances/rhythms Sorsorne and Kaki Lambe originate from the Baga people of the Boffa region.). Mr. Tatchöls grandparents adopted him when he was three, and moved to the village of Kouffin.
