The purpose of this case study is to reveal prospective science teachers knowledge and achievement levels in electricity-related subjects. The data for the study were collected from 44 prospective teachers using three measurement tools. The data were then analyzed using software developed for the Probability and Possibility Calculation Statistics for Data Variables method, developed by Yilmaz (2011). It was concluded that prospective science teachers achievement levels in mathematical logic in electricity-related subjects are influenced by their achievement levels in physics and basic mathematical procedures, as well as their knowledge levels. The first research question was investigated as part of a larger empirical study which identified and monitored changes in teachers perceptions of learning technologies over a two year period. The participants were 15 experienced high school teachers at Euroa Secondary College (ESC), Victoria, Australia. The teachers volunteered to be part of the research. The group had an average age of 39 years. Data was collected through semi-structured, open-ended interviews. A series of guide questions were designed, piloted and refined. Examples of the guide questions can be found in the illustrative quotes in the Results section of the paper. The background to this study is the large number of students who fail to finish upper secondary school with passing grades. The overall aim of this study was to examine one parameter in the didactic interaction between teachers and students, namely differences and similarities in learning styles. This study therefore compares teachers and students learning styles profiles in the two major orientations in upper secondary school. The study involved 53 secondary school teachers and 101 high school students who were randomly selected. The learning styles assessment PEPS was used to identify 20 different traits. Three groups were compared and analysed by using an F-test and an analysis of variance (ANOVA). The statistical analysis showed that the teachers have a greater need for light and temperature, are more motivated, more conformist, have less need for structure and authority and are more alert in the morning and less in the afternoon compared with the students. Teachers knowledge of transition services and programming in their schools is crucial for their students with disabilities to successfully transition from school to adult life. The purpose of this study was to examine high school special education teachers knowledge of transition programming offered at their schools. Twenty-five special education teachers from three suburban high schools in the Midwest completed surveys of their knowledge of transition programming. Results indicated respondents were accurate in their knowledge on 15 of 25 questions (60%), somewhat accurate in their knowledge on 4 of 25 questions (16%), and somewhat inaccurate on 6 of 25 questions (24%). No statistically significant difference was found in the accuracy of knowledge between respondents who held a Developmental Disabilities license and those who held licensure in other areas, or between respondents with varying years of experience. Many of my German high school teachers were intellectual remnants of the 68er movement. They had either been part of the 1968 anti-authoritarian and left-wing student protests in Germany or they had been deeply influenced by them. The movement gradually fizzled out and the students took on seemingly bourgeois jobs in the 1970s as civil servants, bank accountants or high school teachers, but their muted revolutionary spirit remained on the whole intact. This thesis presents the findings of an exploration of teacher perceptions and actions to conserve wetlands in Kenya. It reports findings of a case study survey done with 54 primary school teachers from seven of eight Kenyan provinces. The teachers were sampled from a larger group of 242 teachers who participated in an in-service course on wetlands conservation. The in-service course engaged teachers in exploring various aspects of wetlands and how they could enhance their conservation using both formal and non-formal contexts. The survey approach was used in the research and was augmented with a reflective process. Survey tools used were the questionnaires and interviews. The reflective process entailed observation, document analysis, field notes and the researchers diary. Research data was analysed in several stages. We investigated the association of NSAID use with risk of breast cancer in the California Teachers Study cohort, with special attention to risk of specific breast cancer subtypes and to type of NSAID used.We analyzed data on 114 460 women in the California Teachers Study cohort who were aged 22 to 85 years and free of breast cancer at baseline in 1995 to 1996. Information on frequency and duration of NSAID use was collected through a self-administered questionnaire. The aim of this research is to explore the everyday narratives for two year 5 teachers in a primary school when asked to implement a lifelong learning project into their classroom. Teachers have few opportunities to pause and reflect on their professional practice, so the two year 5 teachers were highly motivated to engage with the research given that the Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory (ELLI) was being piloted in their classes. With this purpose, I undertook a narrative approach. There was also a strong rationale behind providing the teachers with a space in which to have a reflective conversation to allow their narratives to be told. This came from an underlying concept within ELLI, that students have the opportunity to reflect upon their own learning and yet it is not naturally inbuilt for the teachers. Objective: To compare two teaching methodologies for PROCES (a basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (b-CPR) programme for secondary school students): one exclusively performed by school teachers (study group) and another by a mixed team of school teachers and healthcare providers (control group)..
