A side port may also be positioned thereat for the infusion of contrast media.
In this paper, we track both center frequency and quality factor of a superconducting microwave resonator with very high precision using a modified Pound-Drever-Hall frequency locking scheme. The quality factor measurements can be done with high enough bandwidth to study different processes in a superconducting resonator in real time. With this added functionality, the frequency readout remains unaffected, with typical accuracy around 10-30 Hz/root Hz, whereas the cavity loss rate can be determined to within 0.1% on a millisecond time scale (34 dB/root Hz). As we demonstrate, this can be particularly useful for electron spin resonance measurements, where we achieve a minimum number of detectable spins coupled to the resonator N = 5 . 10(5) spins/root Hz, based on quality factor measurements. It also enables the study of fast dynamic processes, for example, vortex dynamics, in these devices on a short time scale.

Ok Ive got to the bottom of this. It was my router. I have now upgraded from a Virginmedia Superhub VMDG480 to the latest Superhub 2ac. Its been over a week now and the connection is solid, so Im answering this myself. Their latest kit has concurrent 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, which I think has resulted in a more robust connection overall. Considering there where three phones, a media server, 3 computers, two tablets, a printer and an Xbox on at any one time, I just dont think the 2010 kit could hack it. Not to mention the extremely crowded 2.4Ghz band in my area.. I think the reason it seemed to affect my Macbook more than other devices is that, after testing against other devices, the wifi reception doesnt seem as sensitive as other devices, meaning, it dropped the connection a lot more than devices at the same range. As a side note, my Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro seems to have super robust wifi reception in comparison with the Mac.. ...

The fluctuation of iron stability due to changing water quality followed four characteristics: objectivity, relativity, predictability, and controllability. Therefore, it was necessary to study the stability of iron in the pipe network by integrating different water quality factors. The iron stability risk evaluation system was established according to the different water quality factors in the drinking water distribution systems (DWDSs). Meanwhile, an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was established to evaluate the risk of iron. Chloride, sulfate, dissolved organic matter (DOM) and pH were selected as the risk assessment index. The divisions of different evaluation levels were carried out through the values of water quality factor. Early diagnostic and treatment of prostate cancer could be achieved using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to improve tumor perceptibility. Nonetheless, performing intra-MRI interventions present significant challenges due to intense magnetic fields and limited patient access. This paper presents an MRI-compatible manipulator using elastically averaged binary pneumatic air muscles (PAMs) to orient a needle into a targeted region of the prostate under the command of a physician. The proposed manipulator is based on an all-polymer compliant mechanism designed to make a completely MRI-compatible positioning system. A model based on the PAMs deformation energy is used to design the manipulator so that its discrete workspace, stiffness, and size meet clinically relevant design requirements. Whilst widely deployed the use of neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) remains controversial, in part, due to gaps in understanding of the underlying mechanisms related to injury. NMI device manufacturers are thus constrained by empirical evidence for safety and effectiveness for a specific device design. Here we examine published data for several NMI devices considering ex vivo signal characteristics and in vivo responses in relation to effectiveness and injury. The sensitivity of lactate production to NMI device signal frequency (Hz) and macro-dosimetry is explored as a primary device design factor in NMI modes of injury.
