Proteins of ram epididymal fluid, seminal plasma, accessory gland fluid and blood serum were fractionated by electrophoresis. Nineteen bands of different mobilities were observed by disc electrophoresis. Immunoelectrophoresis revealed sixteen precipitation arcs in epididymal fluid and seminal plasma and fourteen in blood serum, following absorption with the antiserum against epididymal fluid. Isoenzyme spectra of lactate and malate dehydrogenases were studied by means of polyacrylamide gel disc electrophoresis in heart muscle and liver tissue of rabbits with thyreoidin toxicosis. Commission Recommendation 2007/331/EC of 3 May 2007 on the monitoring of acrylamide levels in food requires the Member States to perform annually in 2007, 2008 and 2009 the monitoring of acrylamide levels in certain foodstuffs. The current report describes the results of the monitoring exercise for 2008. A total of 22 Member States and Norway submitted to EFSA 3461 results. Hysteresis did quite a few concerts. One especially memorable one for me, aside from 3/3/73 was at Live Oak Theatre in Berkeley 7/1/73. My mother had come for a visit and I talked her into doing a performance with me on that concert. The piece was TORERO PIECE and she did a great job. Tony Gnazzo heard the show and invited us to his school in Hayward where he recorded us in their studio. And eventually part of that tape got onto 10+2=12 American Text-sound Pieces, an LP that 1750 Arch Street made/Charles Amirkhanian edited. It was the only thing people had heard of mine for quite a while because I didnt have anything else out on disc. That piece in that original recording also appears on my new Pogus CD in full and has, almost at the same time, been reissued on Other Minds CD in the 1750 Arch cut version ...

This study has two parts. In the first part, fourteen carcinogen risk assessments of acrylamide made by different expert groups during the years 1976-2002 are compared in terms of their overall conclusions and their use of primary data. In the second part, the public debate on acrylamide and cancer risks and the questioning of the expert risk assessment, that arose as a reaction to the identification of this substance in staple food is discussed. In the first part it is shown that the expert risk assessors concur to a large degree about the assessment of the acrylamide potential to cause cancer. Three risk assessors have concluded that acrylamide is neither carcinogenic to humans nor to animals, while eleven risk assessors have concluded that acrylamide is carcinogenic in animals and is likely to be carcinogenic in humans.
