We report here that mouse skin wounds generated endogenous electric currents for many hours. Human dermal fibroblasts of both primary and cell-line cultures migrated directionally but slowly toward the anode in an electric field of 50-100 mV mm−1. This is different from keratinocytes, which migrate quickly to the cathode. It took more than 1 hour for dermal fibroblasts to manifest detectable directional migration. Larger field strength (400 mV mm−1) was required to induce directional migration within 1 hour after onset of the field. Phosphatidylinositol-3-OH kinase (PI3 kinase) mediates cathode-directed migration of keratinocytes. We tested the role of PI3 kinase in anode-directed migration of fibroblasts. ...
In this investigation the electricity generation and the electricity capacity of energy mix for sub Saharan Africa from 2020 to 2040 including CO2 emission from (coal, oil, gas) (Total Final Consumption, transport) and power generation were analyzed. These energy sources include conventional and renewable energy sources such as coal, oil, gas, hydro, nuclear, bioenergy, solar PV, and other renewables. We developed a linear regression equation based on the least-square method of estimation to forecast the value of energy and CO2 emission. We fit a linear trend to the energy time series including CO2 emission to show how simple linear regression analysis can be used to forecast future value. The predicted results from 2020 to 2040 show that the electricity capacity and the electricity generation from gas, hydro, solar PV and other renewables will dominate compared to nuclear and bioenergy. The results imply that the environmental implications of economic development differ in countries with different energy resource endowments.  An electric field is the effect an electric charge has on other charges in the space around it.  The strength of an electric field is dependant on 2 things.  1. amount of charge producing the field.  2. distance from the charge.  The further the 2 charges are away from each other, the less force they feel.  The closer the 2 charges are, the more force they feel.

How can expertise be used to reduce all of these?. ELECTRICITY: decarbonised electricity options widely exist (wind, solar, coal + CCS). They are all more expensive, but the high price is more of a political problem (how can politicians ask people to pay more for electricity) rather than a society problem (can people afford it). The problem is increased by lack of a market mechanism to make it investable - (there are many attempts but none really working). Also solar + wind have an intermittency problem, and electricity storage hasnt been solved (although there are many ideas). So coal + CCS looks like a low hanging fruit..
