Networks of co-expressed genes produce complex phenotypes associated with functional novelty. Sex differences in gene expression levels or in the structure of gene co-expression networks can cause sexual dimorphism and may resolve sexually antagonistic selection. Here we used RNA-sequencing in the salmonid Brook Charr Salvelinus fontinalis to characterize sex-specific co-expression networks in the liver of 47 female and 53 male offspring. This review summarizes the results of studies on atypical Aeromonas salmonicida (aAS) -infection among farmed Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) and European grayling (Thymallus thymallus) (later referred as charr and grayling, respectively). Behaviour of early life stages of the salmonid European grayling Thymallus thymallus was investigated by assessing the timing of larval downstream movement from spawning areas, the depth at which larvae moved and the distribution of juvenile fish during summer in two large connected river systems in Norway. Trapping of larvae moving downstream and electroshing surveys revealed that T. thymallus larvae emerging from the spawning gravel moved downstream predominantly during the night, despite light levels sufficient for orientation in the high-latitude study area. Ive tried lowering the heat in the aquarium from 81 down to 75 in hopes theyd stop spawning, but they keep going. Is there anything else I can do? The space parsing problem also affects how the range is determined. If one specifies a negative range like -10, to fetch the last 10 bytes, and it is preceeded by a space, the current code treats the space as a 0 so instead of the last 10 bytes, you get the first 10.
