by K.T. Weaver, SkyVision Solutions In June and July of 2011, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) hosted two separate workshops related to the possible health effects associated with radiofrequency (RF) emissions from smart grid technologies. In December 2011, EPRI published a report summarizing the results and findings from those workshops [1]. The first workshop…

This application is being revised for the AJAX widgets for phylo-informatics project idea. Abstract: This project aims to construct a web-based interface for the tree display and annotation feature of the xrate tool. Through the use of an easy-to-use web interface, those that are not familiar with the process of compiling their own software in an Unix environment, but are comfortable with using a web browser, will be able to use xrates tree tools. It is hoped that such an interface will then be portable enough to be used on other similar tools to allow for easy deployment of any command line based bioinformatics utility. It uses Perl scripts to generate either .png or .svg images of trees to be displayed on a webpage. These trees are generated from either raw .tre files (Newick format) or by using special .stk files which are processed by xrate to generate trees. The hackathon revealed that consistent behavior from NEXUS parsers is need in all of the Bio* toolkits as well as many of the primary analysis tools in phylogenetics. Rather than reimplement NEXUS parsing in each language, we could develop multiple language bindings to a common parsing library. NCL (the Nexus Class Library) is a flexible C++ library for supporting the parsing of NEXUS. Core tasks (such as tokenizing and reporting errors) are handled well, though not all public blocks have been handled. NCL is already used in several C/C++ programs (e.g. Brownie, TreeView) and is soon to be used by MrBayes4 and GARLI for NEXUS importing. The CIPRES NEXUS parser is also derived from a version of NCL ...

Who doesnt have a soft spot in their heart, if not their DVD collection, for The Andy Griffith Show? The denizens of Mayberry have been with many of us our entire lives. For most of America, The Andy Griffith Show has become the template for any small rural town. The characters stand as prerequisite citizens in any said town. The town drunk, the local barber, the motherly little old lady, and the corner mechanic all look like Otis, Floyd, Aunt Bee, and Goober to most of us now. Griffith himself brought fine qualities to his role of Sheriff Andy Taylor, but it was Don Knotts as the incompetent but lovable deputy Barney Fife who stole the show. And who was that sweet little boy? He grew up to be a first class filmmaker with plenty of Oscars on the shelf. No question that The Andy Griffith Show started something back in 1960. Synopsis. Sheriff Taylor (Griffith) is a widower with a young son, Opie (Howard). His extended family includes lovable doting Aunt Bee (Bavier). His deputy, Barney (Knotts) ...

In Weeds Pinwheels and Whirligigs the gang goes to a fair in Montana. Even though Nancy gives Andy the authority to decide things, she quickly decides the fair is the best decision. The reason for this decision has to do with Judah. And I really like that they finally mentioned him again. What do you think hed think of where his family is, now? And I dont mean physically - even though Montana does seem like a pretty weird place… Especially when they have people eating butter to win contests.. Having already seen the episode, I can give you a vague review. I thought it was very insightful how they showed that Nancy and Shane are alike, and Andy and Silas are alike. But, while I think that Silas envies that Shane is so close with his Mom now, I dont think Shane cares about Andy at all (and this is pretty much proven when in a previous episode Shane tells Nancy to drive off and leave Silas, Andy and Doug behind.) Which is a shame. In earlier seasons of the show, they had more of a ...
The Many Benefits of Smart Grid Investment A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.? A power grid is only as secure and reliable as its most overloaded and vulnerable distribution areas.? A single point of failure can interrupt power for thousands, even millions of customers.? This flaw in our grid is becoming more apparent as electricity demand has increased quickly over the past few decades.? Since demand is outpacing the available supply of electricity generation capacity, power grid failures are becoming more common, but this need not be the case.? Smart grid technologies can efficiently schedule and redistribute electricity usage, smoothing the demand curve and reducing the peaks.? If we invest in smart grid technology, automating the detection of grid malfunctions before they become catastrophic, we will save billions of dollars a year.. tags: greennumbers smart grid investment. ...
IDC expects Linux to become a key platform for enterprise databases in the coming years. As such, it is a promising environment for Oracle to focus on, said Carl Olofson, Program Director, IDC. IDC projects that, given the right development and support for Linux, the market revenue for relational DBMS on Linux will surpass the relational DBMS revenues on UNIX by 2006, growing to $5.9 billion. Further analysis can be found in IDCs recently-released Worldwide Relational and Object-Relational Database Management Systems Software Forecast and Analysis, 2002-2006, document number 27289.As the first vendor to provide support for Linux in a commercially available relational database, an application server and a complete set of developer tools, Oracle has been instrumental in driving support for Linux since its inception. He spends the majority of his days researching and discovering new ways to develop and reach peak human performance.  Andy received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, followed by his Masters in Human Movement Sciences, and eventually earning his Ph.D. in Human Bioenergetics. His work and research have been published countless times in his efforts to prove what the human body is capable of achieving.  He may not know it, but his research is finding if its possible to become, yes, Too Fit.  In preparation for this interview, we each wrote over two pages of notes that we wanted to cover. However, by the end of the episode, we felt we had only covered 10% of what was intended. Thats how much incredible and valuable information we can cover with Andy. Dont worry, hell be back. We made sure to cover the latest peak performance research
COVID-19 has provided a vivid reminder of the power of biological threats. But the threat doesnt come from natural sources alone. Weaponized contagious diseases - which were abandoned by the United States, but developed in large numbers by the Soviet Union, right up until its collapse - have the potential to spread globally and kill just as many as an all-out nuclear war. For five years todays guest - Andy Weber - was the US Assistant Secretary of Defense responsible for biological and other weapons of mass destruction. While people primarily associate the Pentagon with waging wars, including most within the Pentagon itself, Andy is quick to point out that you cant have national security if your population remains at grave risk from natural and lab-created diseases. Andys current mission is to spread the word that while bioweapons are terrifying, scientific advances also leave them on the verge of becoming an outdated technology. It seemed to me as an outsider that, generally speaking, these people each had their own illustration niche and hence were not in close competition with one another. Once in a while, though, if an artist was chosen by a client but was too booked up with other work, a salesman might in those early years offer as a substitute someone like Dorothy to fill in for Andy. Or Siebel who originated Mr. Clean right there at Rahl in the 50s , or possibly Muenchen could fill in for Dink Siegels semi-cartoon animated figures. That sort of thing. I dont recall this happening often though. Muenchen, an incredible talent whom Andy liked a great deal, was the car man. In a pinch, if Muench was unavailable, Roy Cragnolin might fill in for him. Another artist Andy particularly enjoyed was Fred Siebel, a brilliant, complex and multifaceted individual. Dink Siegel was loved by all - especially by all the models! If they were lost sight of between posing for a job and coming out to the front desk to get paid, ...
Whenever I write a long feature story, I try to quote everyone I interviewed. I feel like I owe it to them, for helping me. Ive been interviewed for stories but left out of the article, and its not a good feeling.. About three years ago, I wrote a piece on the epic 23-22 game between the Phillies and the Cubs in 1979. I talked to one of the broadcasters, Andy Musser, who died on Monday at age 74. I quoted Andy only once in the story - and once more in a blog entry - and I felt bad about that.. I shouldnt have. A few days after the article appeared, a postcard arrived in my mail box:. Tyler, Nice job on the 23-22 game yesterday. You really worked hard on it and brought back many memories for me. Thanks for the mention. Cordially, Andy. ...

Andy Warhol: Since you know all these cases, did you ever figure out why people really murder? Its always bothered me. Why.. Alfred Hitchcock: Well Ill tell you. Years ago, it was economic, really. Especially in England. First of all, divorce was very hard to get, and it cost a lot of money.. [ … ]. Andy Warhol: But what about a mass murderer.. Alfred Hitchcock: Well, they are psychotics, you see. Theyre absolutely psychotic. Theyre very often impotent. As I showed in Frenzy. The man was completely impotent until he murdered and thats how he got his kicks. But today of course, with the Age of the Revolver, as one might call it, I think there is more use of guns in the home than there is in the streets. You know? And men lose their heads?. Andy Warhol: Well I was shot by a gun, and it just seems like a movie. I cant see it as being anything real. The whole thing is still like a movie to me. It happened to me, but its like watching TV. If youre watching TV, its the same thing as ...
Andy prefers to be with his humans and likes to play with toys. He can be home alone but needs the companionship of at least a feline family member. Andy, a likely abandoned pet, was found wandering in a park and followed his rescuers dogs home when they were out for a walk. Occasionally he would bark at people who dress at bit differently but once they appear non threatening he would warm up quickly. Andy loves to go out for leisurely walks. As long as he is taken out regularly hes housetrained but if the place he goes to has other dogs he may mark territory therefore hes looking for a moderately active home as the only dog. *Videos in above photo album link*. ...

Nature has created complex biological structures that exhibit intelligent behaviour through an evolutionary process. Thus, intelligence and evolution are intimately connected. This has inspired evolutionary computation (EC) that simulates the evolutionary process to develop powerful techniques such as genetic algorithms (GAs), genetic programming (GP), evolutionary strategies (ES) and evolutionary programming (EP) to solve real-world problems in learning, control, optimization and classification. GP discovers the relationship among data and expresses it as a LISP-S expression i.e., a computer program. Thus the goal of program discovery as a solution for a problem is addressed by GP in the framework of evolutionary computation. In this thesis, we address for the first time the problem of applying GP to mu1ticategory pattern classification. In supervised pattern classification, an input vector of m dimensions is mapped onto one of the n classes. It has a number of application areas such as remote ...
Today, clusters are widely used to execute numerical applications. Mechanisms are needed to ease cluster use and to take advantage of the cluster distributed resources. Process management mechanisms are very useful in this respect. Process duplication is needed for parallel application deployment, dynamic load balancing relies on process migration and process checkpoint/restart is needed to tolerate node failures during the execution of long-running applications. A kernel level approach allows to efficiently implement all these mechanisms. However, they are very complex to implement and to maintain. Nevertheless they are all based on a common concept: process virtualization which provides a mean to extract the state of a process from the operating system executed on each cluster node. This paper presents a process virtualization mechanism called ghost process, implemented at kernel level which can be used by system programmers to easily implement various process management mechanisms. The ghost process
Former Kids In The Hall member Bruce McCulloch wrote and directed this comedy about the romantic tribulations of a group of Toronto twenty-somethings whose relationships with their dogs are more stable and long-lasting than their romances with people. Nice guy Andy (Luke Wilson) gets dumped by his girlfriend Cheryl (Kathleen Robertson) when she meets another man (Gordon Currie); worst of all, Cheryl also ends up with custody of Andys dog. On the rebound, Andy meets Lorna (Natasha Henstridge), the host of a childrens TV show, but shes too obsessed with her dog Peanut to pay Andy much mind. Keiran (Kristin Lehman), on the other hand, is a bit too enthusiastic for Andy, leading to yet another short-lived relationship. Cheryl ends up taking her dog (formerly Andys dog) to a pet psychiatrist (Mark McKinney) who thinks that her promiscuity may be traumatizing the pooch. Meanwhile, Bruce McCulloch and Janeane Garofalo are cast against type as Jeff and Jeri, Andys cheerful and annoyingly romantic friends.
Were looking for any eye-catching details like swirling grain, knots, evidence of any traumas the tree suffered long ago and for abnormalities in growth, Andy said, levering a piece of timber out. It was a ten-inch-wide, six-foot-long board of discoloured wood from the centre of my tree. There was detail in the figure, but it was difficult to make out. Andy said it was a carpenters hunch at this point: passing the board through the thicknessing machine would make the figure more visible, by neatly cutting the fibres that had previously been roughly torn by the saw at the sawmill ...

Dry stone walling is one of the oldest country crafts. These structures form one of the most striking features of the rural landscape, whether meandering through a field or gracing a home. In this hands-on guide, landscaper Andy Radford explores the history of dry stone walls and explains how and why they were originally built. He also offers step-by-step instruction, enhanced with explanatory photos and diagrams, showing you how to build or repair a wall, whether a hillside boundary or a garden feature. The books contents include finding suitable stone; tools of the trade; basic walling techniques; building or repairing a curved wall; walling on slopes; and gapping, retaining walls, and variations. Andy Radford has been building dry stone walls for nearly two decades; he is a consultant, designer, and contractor and runs his own landscaping business in Wales.
Daniel was a white water enthusiast so he included the army/navy rafts to the inventory. His experience as a rafter inspired him to design a line of rafts especially for Andy & Bax.. The brand was Riken and was sold to another manufacturer and available only as a special order. To this day the store has one of the most extensive supplies of whitewater rafting equipment in the area.. Daniels son Riley eventually took over the store operations making him a third generation owner. Riley saw his kids werent going for four generations, so when he presented the idea of selling the store to Ted Schopf, Schopf was on board and capable of taking over.. That was two years ago and although the store had already begun the metamorphosis into Andy & Bax Outdoor Store, it is undergoing another makeover to meet the needs of todays shoppers.. The people who are interested in war memorabilia are getting older and 911 put an end to surplus sales except for a few items, Schopf said. Today much of the leftover ...
After 10 years in the British Forces Andy left to pursue a career in scientific exploration and film-making. To date Andy has presented on 19 TV series including BBC1, BBC2, CBBC, Discovery US and the History Channel. This has seen him free dive under the Alaskan ice, stand in the middle of a 700 degree fireball, climb a 12 storey glass building, swim with sharks, cave dive inside icebergs and present live on BBC1.. With his background as an ex-Bomb Disposal Officer, Paratrooper and Army Diver Andy uses his own life experiences and love for extreme sports to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible. As part of a TV series called Beyond Bionic, Andy asked contacts within the UK Space Agency to personally build him a set of jet engines that would allow him to fall faster in a skydive. The project eventually led to Andy being involved as a test pilot with the UKs Space sector in their development of prototype equipment.. It is, in essence, everything you need to dive deeper into Brillo boxes and Empire.-Rachel Wolff, The Daily Beast(Best Art and Photography Books of 2009) In a work of great wisdom and insight, art critic and philosopher Arthur Danto delivers a compact, masterful tour of Andy Warhols personal, artistic, and philosophical transformations. Danto traces the evolution of the pop artist, including his early reception, relationships with artists such as Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg, and the Factory phenomenon. He offers close readings of individual Warhol works, including their social context and philosophical dimensions, key

We discuss aspects of the extended geometric quantization of one of the simplest and yet interesting examples of ∞-Chern-Simons theory, namely 2d Chern-Simons theory and here specifically the case induced by a binary and non-degenerate invariant polynomial, namely the Lie integrated version of the Poisson sigma-model.. It turns out that several aspects of the extended geometric quantization of this 2d theory are known in the literature already, albeit in disguise: the 2-plectic moduli stack of fields is equivalently what in the literature is known as a symplectic groupoid and its higher geometric quantization is essentially what is known as the geometric quantization of symplectic groupoids.. The suggestion that there should be such a relation is contained already in (Cattaneo-Felder 01), but at the time of that writing the geometric quantization of symplectic groupoids had not been performed yet.. To some extent in the following we review the traditional geometric quantization of symplectic ...
As a child actor, Ron Howard was busy even before The Andy Griffith Show. He appeared in television programs in the late 1950s and in 1960, including Playhouse 90, The Twilight Zone, and Dennis the Menace, among others.. In 1959 Howard, at 5 years of age, appeared on the television program General Electric Theater. Hosted by actor and future U.S. president Ronald Reagan, his appearance on the program led to his role as Opie Taylor the following year, as Howard told the Archive of American Television.. I guess I didnt have much of a credit, but Ronald Reagan had seen the episode and at the end, he just ad-libbed this thing and said, Special thanks to little Ronnie Howard who did a wonderful job as Barnaby or something like that, he recalled.. And that led [The Andy Griffith Show producer] Sheldon Leonard to call my agent and say, Im doing a series with Andy Griffith and we need a son.. ...

EDITORS NOTE: We finally come to Part 4 of Andy Synns review of the year in metal. In previous posts, Andy identified the Great, the Good, and the Disappointing releases of 2010. In this final installment, Andy lists his Top 10 favorite albums of the year as well as a critical Top 10 list. Turns out that the same album is in the top spot on both lists.]. Well ladies and gentlemen, finally we come to my personal top ten of the year, followed by my objective, critical top ten.. The first list contains the albums that I consider my favourites, in some cases regardless of relative quality, and that I have gone to for listening pleasure most frequently this year. I love these albums despite (and in some cases because of) their flaws.. A video encoder for encoding a series of groups of frames with an adjustable quantization step, and a method for adjusting the quantization step. The method tracks a complexity parameter of the encoded scenes, and computes a first quantization value in dependence upon the generated complexity parameter. The method further computes a minimum and a maximum step size in dependence upon a number of the bits that have already been generated, and upon the preset target number of bits. The quantization step for the next group of pictures is set in accordance with the first quantization value, but subject to the range defined by the minimum and maximum step sizes. The method further adjusts the minimum and the maximum step sizes.
The title character, whose strip usually appeared on the front cover, was Buster himself. He was originally billed as Buster: Son of Andy Capp; Andy Capp is the lead character of the eponymous Daily Mirror newspaper strip, and Buster wore a similar flat cap to reinforce the connection. In early issues Buster often referred to his father, and Andy was seen in the comic (attempting to find a gas leak in three frames of the 18 June 1960 issue; shown in two drawn photographs in the 2 July issue that same year, the first of which was displayed by Busters mum with the pronouncement, Its a photo of Buster taken with Andy! You can see hes got his dads fine straight nose). Busters mum was often referred to by name, and was consistently drawn to resemble Andys wife Flo. The connection with Andy Capp was gradually forgotten over time, and Andy no longer appeared in the strip by the mid-1960s. From 1965 the strip instead featured Buster in two long-running series: as lead character in the extremely ...

A good friend of mine was diagnosed with a bone cancer called Osteosarcoma in February 2008. This is a rare form of bone cancer only affects about 400 people per year in the UK, mostly children. Andy is 43 and his cancer affected, or should that be infected? - the top of his right Femur close to his Knee.. Since his diagnosis, Andy has had the affected bone removed and a Titanium replacement put in its place - its not quite Bionic. Andys tumour was removed successfully but has a secondary symptom on his Lungs called metastases (tumours). Andy had open chest surgery to remove as many of the metastases as possible and has undergone a series of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy treatments and is currently (June 2009) having his last dose.. Like many cancer patients, Andy is fund raising and his chosen charities a Bone Cancer Research and Willen Hospice. Andy Pernetti, a recovering alcoholic, speaks on the importance of having fun in sobriety and his way of achieving it. When Andy came into the program he found that being of service set him on a new journey of recovery. Andy organizes events such as camping trips and movie nights as a way of achieving fun and new experiences in sobriety. The creative solutions meeting Andy sometimes attends is a meeting focused on how to have fun in sobriety. Andy describes how he feels blessed with all the friends and emotions he has in sobriety that werent present in his addiction.. Andy goes on to describe his 1 year party as a rave with two battling DJs and energy drink jello shots. He did this to prove the point that ones lifestyle does not have to change by being sober aside from the not drinking. One can have as much if not more fun when sober than when drinking or using.. ...

Right in the window facing the street, musician Peter Gavett was setting up. Normally part of a trio, Gavett was playing solo acoustic with a mix of covers and original tunes.. His audience was small when I was there around 7 p.m. A few guys gathered at the bar sipping beers and taking shots of Jim Beam. A couple sat at one of the pub tables.. It was a quiet night, but Ive seen the small bar at Andys quite full. In fact, I remember a happy hour when co-workers and I overtook the bars long picnic-style table, and other customers filled the rest of the barstools.. When I bellied up to the bar, I was pleasantly surprised that Shipyard Pumpkinhead was still on tap and one of the nights happy hour specials. I grabbed a pint of that and started perusing the menu.. Andys has about two dozen offerings for red, white and sparkling wines, a selection of Honeymaker Meads, and 10 beers on tap with even more in the bottle. Of course, it also has a fully stocked bar and is willing to mix up any drink ...

Seoul Taco co-owner David Choi built his food truck into one of the citys most popular, then took a wild leap and opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant with the same name in The Loop this past fall. He still hits the road, though. In fact, one of his prize gigs is feeding the St. Louis Rams - a group whom he said can really put it away.. What did you do before you bought a food truck? [Co-owner] Andy [Heck] and I had to quit our jobs. I was a valet attendant at St. Marys Hospital, and Andy was in mortgages. I had just saved for six months to buy a car, and then to buy the truck, I had to sell it! We had to go to the East Coast to get the truck; we finally found it in Philadelphia. It used to be a Philly cheesesteak wagon.. I imagine you use Seoul Tacos new brick-and-mortar locations kitchen to prep everything for the truck each day? Yes, that was one of the main purposes of getting the brick-and-mortar location, to cater the truck. Our truck is parked right behind the store. Tomorrow were ...
Alice Cooper is set to sell off his prized Andy Warhol art piece at the 2021 Fall Larsen Art Auction. The Little Electric Chair acrylic and silkscreen on canvas piece from Warhols Death and Disaster series is valued between $2.5 - $4.5 million (£1.8 - £3.2 million), and could become the highest selling painting in the state of Arizona. Alice rediscovered the piece in the garage of his Scottsdale, Arizona compound, revealing he had completely forgotten he owned it. Cooper and Warhol became unlikely pals in New York City in the 1970s. One day a few years ago, I was talking to Dennis Hopper who said he was selling a couple of his Warhols, the rock star shared. I said, Wait a minute, I think I have a Warhol somewhere. So I went digging around and found it and it was in perfect condition. I mean it was sort of in a time capsule, which I think Andy would have loved because he loved doing the time capsule as an art piece in and of itself. So, there it was, it had lived by itself for many years. We
Just over a year ago, a report surfaced suggesting former Android king Andy Rubin was considering re-entering the phone business. The report talked about Rubin assembling a team to potentially build out a new company, yet there has been almost zero follow-up since. Today, Bloomberg is reporting that things are very serious on the Andy Rubin smartphone front and we may see a phone (as well as other products) as early as this year. According to this report, Rubins new company is called Essential and is made up of roughly 40 people, many of which have been brought in from Apple and Google. Essential will attempt to compete in the top tier smartphone segment, but the goal is to create a whole ecosystem of devices that all play well together (think both mobile and smart home stuff).. Rubin apparently spoke with wireless carrier execs at CES last week about a high-end phone that Essential is working on, one that will have an edge-to-edge display without bezel (likely larger than 5.5-inches), along ...

The doctors were stumped when nothing would come up. All organs were fine they called it a strange case. He had no red blood cells and they didnt know what was destroying them. Finally they did a bone marrow test and Andy had histiocytic sarcoma. This liquid in his stomach was from the proteins not getting to his body he had a very very low red blood cell count. They told us Andy had 3 to 4 weeks to live when he left the hospital that Friday and he died 30 hours later. He was in my arms with us right there with him, he took his last little breath, let out a sound of release and is now in a very happy and amazing place. They said once the symptoms come up its too late ...

I awakened yesterday to a battle raging downstairs, screams of unhappiness rising up the stairwell. It was odd, they usually play together nicely in the morning now. I sprang up to intercede, and found the problem was about sticks. Joey is very fond of his sticks, which he uses for air writing, and has them about the house. Andy is also fond of sticks, which he uses as most children do: swords, guns, magic wands, whatever strikes his fancy. Apparently Joey wanted a long, thin stick Andy had, instead of the shorter (but still pretty long), thicker stick in his hand. He was screaming that Andy has stolen his stick. Andy was upset because he hadnt stolen the stick (for once), but it was one he had gotten from the yard the day before. In trying to be fair, there was little I could do other than inspect the stick and note that it was, indeed, the one Andy had fetched from the yard the day before- which, of course, settled nothing. Assuring Joey he could go out and get a similar stick was of no ...
The Band: Array. setting: thursday evening at Andys house. our senior year. 1987.. band members: Andy- guitar and backing vocal, Johnny- bass, Daniel-drums, Rebecca- lead vocal, Kimmee- keyboards, backing vocal. shit, boys, we are going to rock the house saturday night, andy exclaimed as he gave me a hi-five. he turned to do the same with johnny but realized he wasnt paying any attention. johnny was, as per usual, in his own little world, sitting back, smoking a joint and staring out at nothing.. a little perturbed by johnnys lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming gig, andy picked up his guitar and played an intricate arpeggio that he had been working on the past few days. andy was a lanky rich boy whos mom was never home and usually had the whole house to himself after school to play loud music in. he was the class clown and was even voted the funniest senior in the yearbook that year. i played a couple of warmup drum fills on the tom-toms and then turned to andy and asked are you sure we ...
Andy Warhols work explores the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertising. Andy Warhol was a Roman Catholic who apparently attended Mass almost daily throughout his life but didnt publish the fact. While Andy Warhols artwork may definitely give a mysterious impression, he was not only a regular church attender, but also consistently served at soup kitchens. Although I do not know Andy Warhol nor his life style personally, I have heard many negative descriptions of it. However, I have also heard very positive evaluations of his contributions, and I do think his efforts at using such a mundane everyday symbol as GE in his artwork The Last Supper, might be pointing to the hope of more meaning. By doing this, it would seem that he was hoping to integrate the sacred and the secular more. With the backdrop of Leonardo da Vincis famous The Last Supper, we see imposed a commercial sign, GE and a dove. Andy Warhol appears to be pointing to the symbol of the ...
Yesterday was a joyful and hard day all at the same time as it marked the 13th birthday of my first litter at Ersehnen. I am happy to report that I am still in touch with 3 owners of pups from this litter and they are doing well - a little slower but well. Tempering this joy was the fact that my boy from this litter is no longer with me. Andy, you can see him in the header, was the love of my life and he left some mighty big paw prints to fill. He was my constant companion, confidante, and protector. Jay took him out hunting pheasants - 9 yr old Andys first time out on birds - they got one which Andy kind of retrieved. But what made the trip memorable for Jay was Andy telling him off for not shooting the ducks flying over head. Andy would look up at the ducks, look at Jay bark then back at the ducks all the while Jay was trying to explain that the ducks were too high and out of range. I wish I had a picture of that as I can just see the expression on the Old Mans face during this exchange. He ...
Honeywell said Wednesday it has been awarded a $15 million smart grid project by Connexus Energy, Minnesotas largest customer-owned electric cooperative, to deploy advanced smart grid technology to improve electricity service and reliability, and help the utilitys 130,000 members better manage their energy consumption.. Under the project, Honeywell will install more than 138,000 of its EnergyAxis connected meters and its new SynergyNet mesh networking platform for the utility.. When completed in 2018, the fully integrated system will provide Connexus Energy with real-time data on customers energy consumption for more accurate billing, better management of usage, and the ability to more accurately detect meter tampering and outages for faster recovery, according to Honeywell.. Instead of relying on time-consuming manual meter data collection, Connexus Energy, whose service territory spans seven counties and covers 1,000 square miles in the northern part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, ...
If lengthy requirements were a measure of success, then smart grid technology is well on its way to being an anomaly in the environmental controls space. But Im not going to try to hold my breath for that to happen.

This comment on Turtle applies to SPARQL as well (the Turtle grammar is copied from the SPARQL grammar at this point). The fix is easy (= I have done it in ARQ and am testing it out). Some syntax tests, good and bad, to formally pin this down should be done and Ill provide them. As relates to formally deciding on LC today, Im open to either delaying for two weeks or to deciding today conditional on making the change to doc and some tests in the next 2 days or so. You cant imagine how much work goes into this little itty-bitty breakfast, said Andy, whos known around town for his organizational prowess and keen eye for detail.. Serving about 1,000 guests is hardly itty-bitty. Planning begins each January, with meetings cranking up to two a month in June. As usual, he came through, but after seven years of working the grills, hes thinking about passing off his spatula to any one of a number of understudies hes been grooming..
