Washington, DC) The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) today released the results of the 2013 Follow-Up Spring Valley Public Health Study and Community Health Assessment Survey for Zip Codes 20016 and 20015. The study was conducted by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Todays report builds upon the Public Health Screening Study conducted by Johns Hopkins investigators in 2007. The implementation of CAM has been a voluntary process, initiated by the farmer and implemented through a joint effort between the Coalition to Support Iowas Farmers (CSIF), the Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC), and faculty with Iowa State Universitys College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The use of CAM requires on on-site visit to assess and map community receptors and existing animal-related odor sources.. The mapped data is then brought to the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering where one of two faculty members implement CAM.
