Students enrolled in Geology 4841, a geology and geophysics field study course at Missouri University of Science and Technology, will spend nine days in the Bahamas studying the geology of San Salvador Island this May.. The project was a collaborative effort of the West Indian Iguana Specialist Group, the Bahamas National Trust, the Bahamas Department of Agriculture, and Zeneca Agrochemicals, Inc., which donated the rodenticide used in the eradication. Days after Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados Dr. Delisle Worrell said value-added tax (VAT) has hurt that islands tourism industry, Free National Movement (FNM) Chairman Darron Cash said the criticism should give The Bahamas government another reason to delay VATs introduction..
