Recent next-generation sequencing studies have generated a comprehensive overview of the genomic landscape of human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated cancers. This review summarizes these findings to provide insight into the tumor biology of these cancers and potential therapeutic opportunities for HPV-driven malignancies.
