Propylene glycol-, ethylene glycol-, and urea-based deicers are known to have very high biochemical oxygen demand. Maureen Ihua-Maduenyi The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on Thursday met with the Airline Operators of Nigeria and the Airline Operating Committee to find solutions to service gaps at airports across the country. The new Managing Director of FAAN, Capt Rabiu Yadudu, said the meeting became necessary to re-affirm the agencys commitment to the improvement of services at airports, and to solicit airline operators cooperation and support. FAAN is already taking bold steps in addressing gaps in our processes and procedures by collaborating with the International Civil Aviation Organisation, through its Airport Service Quality programme, he said.
