Unfortunately, the same thing also makes it an incredibly dumb search engine. If it doesnt find a connection, it has a tendency to not search at all.. When I searched for condoms, Siri understood those are something sold in drug stores. Thats why it came back with that listing of drug stores. It know that condoms = drug stores.. We live in a computer era. Internet is part of our everyday lives and information is only a click away. Just open your favorite search engine, like Google, AltaVista, Yahoo, type in the key words, and the search engine will display the pages relevant for your search. But how does a search engine really work? At first glance, it seems reasonable to imagine that what a search engine does is to keep an index of all web pages, and when a user types in a query search, the engine browses through its index and counts the occurrences of the key words in each web file. The winners are the pages with the highest number of occurrences of the key words. These get displayed back to the user. This used to be the correct picture in the early 90s, when the first search engines used text based ranking systems to decide which pages are most relevant to a given query. There where however a number of problems with this approach. A search about a common term such as Internet was problematic. The first page ...
Meta elements provide information about the web page, which can be used by search engines to help categorize the page correctly. They have been the focus of a field of marketing research known as search engine optimization (SEO), where different methods are used to provide a users website with a higher ranking on search engines. Prior to the rise of content-analysis by search engines in the mid-1990s (most notably Google), search engines were reliant on meta data to correctly classify a Web page and webmasters quickly learned the commercial significance of having the right meta element. The search engine community is now divided as to the value of meta tags. Some claim they have no value, others that they are central, while many simply conclude there is no clear answer but, since they do no harm, they use them just in case. Google[1] states they do support the meta tags content, robots, google, google-site-verification, content-type, refresh and google-bot. Major search engine ...

Just like speedway is mostly ignored in the national print and broadcast media, so it has been with Internet search engines. If I type the title of my book Showered in Shale into google (as I do when vanity overcomes me and I have the odd idle minute), its not long before Im lost in a world of igneous rocks (like pumice) and, excitingly, rock formations that include fragments from a crashed asteroid that came down near Bristol. Typing in the word speedway soon takes you to a gasoline-convenience store or the cycle version (to all fans and practitioners of which - respect!). Luckily, that has all changed with the new speedway specific search engine pioneered by Adam Jennison that you can access here. Its simple, easy to use and should be the answer to all your speedway questions and queries. Adam is an experienced web site programmer and developer who supports the Hull Vikings but really, like so many fans Ive met on my travels, just enjoys a good close meeting. If the site is a success - ...

METHODS: Google search data from January 1, 2004, to February 28, 2018, for rosacea and search terms representing common comorbid conditions were investigated. Background: There is a perception that the prevalence of anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) use is increasing in the UK, with consequent individual and public health risks. Nevertheless, there is a lack of real-time surveillance data to support the development of effective policy. This paper explores the potential of Google Trends to complement existing surveillance methods by analysing user generated search term data. Methods: The Google Trends web tool was used to identify patterns of UK online interest in 15 AAS from January 2011 to December 2015, with 10 ultimately suitable for further analysis. Time series analysis was applied to the data. Results: 10 steroids were ranked from most to least popular. All compounds had peaks in interest between April to July, potentially indicating a consumer driven desire to attain a desired physique in time for summer. Oral steroids were among the most searched for drugs which may have relevance for current service provision to steroid users. Conclusion: ...
Our guest post service process allow us to secure links from popular blogs, improving your search engine ranking. Guest posting is great for search engines The one non-negotiable you should have for guest-posting is this: The host blogger must include a link to your blog in the post somewhere (usually at the beginning or end). Over time, these backlinks will raise the value of your blog to search engines, making your content easier to find via Google, Yahoo, Bing, and others. While not everyone does this, its not a bad idea. However, this is important: If you have to choose between getting people to guest post on your site or guest posting elsewhere, do the latter. Its always better to get your name out into new communities. What Does Guest Posting Accomplish? For a start, what does guest blogging accomplish from the perspective of the guest? Firstly, guest blogging is about building relationships. Youre networking with other bloggers and making new connections which might prove useful later ...
0017] Predicting the popularity of items may impact revenues of network-based services such as, for example, shopping search engines. Accordingly, prediction of item popularity may be performed by, for example, one or more network-based systems (e.g., commerce systems, publication systems, listing systems, media archival systems, image sharing systems, visual search engines, shopping search engines, or any suitable combination thereof), and in some particular examples, by one or more popularity prediction machines included in one or more of such network-based systems. Considering the example context of a shopping search engine, a potential difference between a shopping search engine and a generic web search engine is that a shopping search result often includes thumbnail images of the items in the search result page. Another potential difference between a shopping search and a generic web search is that search results from the former typically include images along with potentially ...

What makes you like a website? The colors, photos, look and feel of the site? The motion, the videos, or a fancy opening page? Whenever a firm undertakes a internet search engine optimization method, whether it really is executed in-house or outsourced to an Search engine optimisation service, most of the awareness (and rightly so) is targeted about the firm web page. This is often the one facet wherever you can find a feeling of control-once a web site is produced to the wild,https://superstarseo.com the company must see how its website fares towards the many other web-sites to choose from, whether the other sites are applying ethical Website positioning strategies or not.. Other than modifications manufactured into the organization web page, the assumption is usually that the corporation and, whether it is applying 1, its Seo company, has zero command over what seems in internet search engine effects. Having said that, this isnt typically the case. Usually, you or your Seo company may have a immediate effect on search engine benefits by monitoring your opponents and reporting them to the main lookup engines if the ...

Within the context of a European network dedicated to the study of sarcoma the relevant literature on sarcoma risk factors was collected by searching PubMed and Google Scholar, the two information storage and retrieval databases which can be accessed without charge. The present study aims to appraise the relative proficiency of PubMed and Google Scholar. Unlike PubMed, Google Scholar does not allow a choice between Human and Animal studies, nor between Classical and other types of studies. As a result, searches with Google Scholar produced high numbers of citations that have to be filtered. Google Scholar resulted in a higher sensitivity (proportion of relevant articles, meeting the search criteria), while PubMed in a higher specificity (proportion of lower quality articles not meeting the criteria, that are not retrieved). Concordance between Google Scholar and PubMed was as low as 8%. This study focused just on one topic. Although further studies are warranted, PM and GS appear to be

Global gene-expression analysis is carried out using different technologies that are either array- or sequence-tag-based. To compare experiments that are performed on these different platforms, array probes and sequence tags need to be linked. An additional challenge is cross-referencing between species, to compare human profiles with those obtained in a mouse model, for example. We have developed the web-based search engine GeneHopper to link different expression resources based on UniGene clusters and HomoloGene orthologs databases of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).

Since the debut of the spark ignition engines about 150 years ago, the understanding of an engine torque production has been widely investigated in many engine combustion research laboratories around the world. The effects of an engine geometric and operation parameters like, for instance, throttle angle, spark advance, fuel octane rating and compression ratio have been one of the main goals of these studies. A modern torque model based engine control software, which is able to predict and control engine torque for a given operating condition, makes use of these engine researches findings. A new variable which has been added recently into the torque generation study is the ethanol content fuel, in order to suit flex fuel engines application. This paper presents the results of an analysis conducted with a flex fuel engine running on Brazilian gasohol (E25) and hydrous ethanol (E100) fuels. The effects of engine load, spark advance and fuel ethanol content in torque production are discussed. A ...
