Skin Absorption
Uptake of substances through the SKIN.
Tetrachloroethylene
Atmosphere Exposure Chambers
Absorption
Benzene
Toxic, volatile, flammable liquid hydrocarbon byproduct of coal distillation. It is used as an industrial solvent in paints, varnishes, lacquer thinners, gasoline, etc. Benzene causes central nervous system damage acutely and bone marrow damage chronically and is carcinogenic. It was formerly used as parasiticide.
Methanol
A colorless, flammable liquid used in the manufacture of FORMALDEHYDE and ACETIC ACID, in chemical synthesis, antifreeze, and as a solvent. Ingestion of methanol is toxic and may cause blindness.
Solvents
Skin
Skin Aging
The process of aging due to changes in the structure and elasticity of the skin over time. It may be a part of physiological aging or it may be due to the effects of ultraviolet radiation, usually through exposure to sunlight.
Skin Neoplasms
Tumors or cancer of the SKIN.
Skin Physiological Phenomena
Skin Tests
Biological Availability
Skin Pigmentation
Coloration of the skin.
Spectrophotometry, Atomic
Spectrophotometric techniques by which the absorption or emmision spectra of radiation from atoms are produced and analyzed.
