Tympanoplastik

Wound Closure Techniques
"Wound closure techniques" refer to the various medical procedures used to close and repair wounds or incisions in the skin after surgery or trauma. The goal of these techniques is to promote healing, minimize scarring, and reduce the risk of infection. Common wound closure techniques include suturing (stitching), stapling, adhesive strips (Steri-Strips), and tissue adhesives (glue). The choice of technique depends on several factors, including the size and location of the wound, the patient's individual needs and medical history, and the surgeon's preference.
Otologic Surgical Procedures
Otologic surgical procedures refer to a group of surgeries that are performed on the ear with the goal of treating various conditions affecting hearing, balance, and inner ear functions. These procedures can range from relatively simple ones such as myringotomy (incision in the eardrum to relieve pressure and drain fluid) to more complex ones like cochlear implantation (surgical implantation of an electronic device that provides a sense of sound to a person with severe to profound hearing loss). Other examples of otologic surgical procedures include stapedectomy (removal or modification of the stapes bone in the middle ear to improve hearing), tympanoplasty (reconstruction of the eardrum), and mastoidectomy (removal of mastoid air cells to treat chronic ear infections).
