Mirena side effects- or not?

Question

Hi,

For those who have had side effects from the mirena, how did you know it was from the mirena and not for some other reason? 

Also how long after getting the mirena did you get side effects?

Did you end up getting it removed? And did that resolve the side effects?

Just curious, as I have had the mirena for about 8 years, and as I hear of some of the side effects that others have, I am realising I do have some of the side effects, but then I wonder if it's coincidental... ?

Please help.
