If you burn a log with mushrooms growing out of it, is it safe to cook over it?

We have a large pile of wood and are planing to burn it for a bonfire. Some of the wood has wood rot, moss, and even mushrooms in them. If we where to get hotdogs and mushrooms would it be safe to cook them over these?
