What color should the tooth extraction site be

Question

Got my tooth extracted a few days ago but am unsure if it's infected. Within 8hrs of the extraction i ran a fever but since I have been normal just with what I believe to be normal annoying pain controllled easily by panadol. But the wand is a greeny brown with bits of black in color, is this a normal color as I have been reading and alot blog stating their wands are white. Does this mean is infected and I need to have antibiotics.
