I tripped in high heels and twisted my ankle several months ago, it didn't look too bad or feel too bad after than initial wrench. But now I find it's still quite tender and it really hurst to wear high heels

Hi Fleur,

When you twisted your ankle you subjected it to an incredible amount of abnormal forces which likely moved things out of alignment, and also disrupted the neural pathway (messages) between your foot and brain.

The good news is that if you find a podiatrist (like myself) trained in Foot Mobilisation Therapy they should be able to help. I wrote an article about it which you may find helpful here: https://trevorlanepodiatry.com.au/sprained-ankle-still-hurts-after-3-months/

Kind Regards
